Our Blue Marble

I started watching the Discovery Channel's new 11-part mini series Planet Earth on HD On Demand. WOW!

If you are not watching it, may I please be so bold as to ask you why the h-e-double-hockey-sticks not? The bird's eye view of our planet's vast climatological and ecological diversity is both stunning and breathtaking. The series is narrated by Sigourney Weaver and took over 2,000 days to film.

So far, the episodes "Deep Oceans", "Mountains", and "Pole-to-Pole" have aired. "Deserts" and "Ice Worlds" debut on April 1st. No fooling.

Weeeell, I don't think there really is a good reason in h-e-double hockeysticks that I haven't yet watched Planet Earth yet, but I sure am glad I got a chance to use h-e-double hockeysticks. That's pretty darn cute.

I'm sure Planet Earth is on the schedule though - my husband and the Discovery Channel are like that baby (envision twisted fingers), like that! I guess I have a love hate relationship with my TIVO now, but if you say it's worth a watch, I'll try to pay attention to hubby when he goes all science nerd on me :)

BTW, congrats on having Fat Doc set her sights on you. I like her quite a bit too. Especially her Sweet 'Peeps pic. Now that makes me giggle.

I've seen them all and they are even better than you said. Sherri has yet to see them and always asks me what i'm watching. I'll get her to watch eventually. Abby is on our minds and in our prayers. Can't wait til you guys get out here in a couple weeks.
